Pinstack bowling alley and entertainment center to open in San Antonio later this year

San Antonio can pin its hopes on a new bowling alley. Pinstack, the Dallas-based bowling and entertainment center, will open its first location in San Antonio at the Park North Shopping Center near the North Star Mall.

After a two-year strike due to the pandemic, bowling is expected to reopen to the public in the third quarter of 2022, according to the company. The local location will mark Pinstack’s fifth, with others operating in Plano, Las Colinas, Allen and Austin.

According to a press release, the company plans to hire more than 200 local workers before the opening in San Antonio.

“We are thrilled to add a new premium entertainment option to San Antonio’s exciting scene for locals and tourists alike,” said Mark Moore, CEO of Entertainment Properties Group Inc., which operates Pinstack. “We look forward to being a great community partner and job provider. We will bring with us over 200 new jobs to the community.

The family-friendly venue will span 54,000 square feet with 28 light-up bowling lanes and a VR arcade. For adrenaline junkies, other features include a 24-foot-high climbing wall, 20-foot-high ropes obstacle course, laser beacon, and bumper cars.

Pinstack also offers a trackside food and beverage service featuring American cuisine and a bar with an extensive wine, beer, and cocktail list. Private event rooms and hallways are available, along with catering and audiovisual equipment.

The new location will open at 7425 NW Loop Ste 201, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
